WHAT CUSTOMERS OFTEN ASK US ABOUT HIRING
Do I need to make an appointment to hire a suit?
We recommend booking an appointment before visiting us, as demand is high. This allows us to prepare for your visit and dedicate time to your order. Saturdays are our busiest and most popular day.
How far in advance should I book suit hire for a wedding and when should everyone come in for fittings?
Initially, we recommend that the couples themselves visit us in the early stages of your wedding planning (maybe bring the best man too!). During the visit, you’ll be able to try on your suit ideas from our large range of styles and colours. Closer to the time (6-8 weeks prior to the event), we’d then see the rest of the party to be fitted for their hire suits. For boys we recommend that they are fitted 3-4 weeks before the wedding.
Do you cater for plus size men's suits, and what are the biggest sizes available to hire?
In the majority of styles, a 58-inch chest is the largest, with some styles going up to a 60-inch chest. Most of our trouser ranges go up to a 58-inch waist. Most waistcoats are available up to a 58-inch chest, with newer styles now available in a 60-inch chest.
What age do boys' suits start from?
Our boys' outfits are measured in inches, so sizes start from around 2–3 years old, depending on the young man’s size. Jackets start at a 20 inch chest, trousers at an 18-inch waist and waistcoats at a 22 inch chest.
How much does a suit hire for a wedding cost?
All items are individually priced. The cost of hiring a 2 piece suit starts from £109. Please call to enquire or pop into our store.
What’s the upfront cost for suit hire?
A deposit of half the total hire cost is required at the time of booking to secure availability. The remaining balance must be paid before collection. Payments can be made by cash, card or bank transfer. We accept all debit cards and most major credit cards
I’d like to buy my wedding suit new. Am I able to do this?
Yes, the suits in our hire collection are also available to purchase. However, there is often a much longer lead time for this. Please enquire with a staff member to discuss availability, cost and date requirements for all items.
Do I have to leave a security deposit when hiring a suit?
We reserve the right to ask for a suitable form of identification and security deposit when hiring any items. Please call for further details.
When’s the best time to collect the hired suits?
Collection of your hire suits is at the beginning of the week of your wedding or event, but we always contact you as soon as they are ready.
When do I need to return hired items?
Hired items need to be returned by the next working day before 12 midday. For example, for a Saturday wedding you must return on Monday morning.
I need my hire suit for a longer period of time or fortravel abroad. Is this possible?
Certainly! Extended hire can be arranged. Please speak to a staff member about your requirements and the duration of the hire, and they’ll be happy to work out the costs.
Do you hire dinner suits for boys?
Yes, our boys' dinner suit jackets start at a 20-inch chest, with boy’s bow ties available.
What’s the size range of your top hats?
Top hats are available in grey, black and navy, in sizes from 6 ½ (53cm) to 7 ⅞ (64cm). They’re also available in boys’ sizes: small (49cm), medium (50cm), and large (51cm).
